Sweet, Sweet Spirit
Blake and Susie have had the opportunity to visit Chumani. We are the first team from Snyder to:
Experience a world where no school existed or parents could not afford the schooling for their child.
Experience a place where your child has no shoes.
Experience an environment where you slept on the ground.
Experience a world where your child did not have the opportunity to hear about salvation in Christ.
We experienced the blessing of a school called Chumani that opened
and afforded families reasonable commitment to enroll their child in school and provide an excellent education.
We experienced children getting uniforms, healthy food, and a safe environment.
We experienced a true blessing when we gave the children mattresses from Snyder members.
Today our nine member Snyder team visited the home of the MDakiti Family. We experienced three generations gathered in a circle with us celebrating Jesus and what it means in their life.
What we experienced next was very overwhelming. The family provided each of the team members their own individual coconut. Gratitude like that is hard to describe. I felt like they needed this food, but were so grateful to us, that they gave us this wonderful gift. Such generous hearts.
It is hard to put into words, the thankfulness that I feel to have known the Chumani family. The children, staff, and social workers are full of laughter, joy, awesome, gracious, with the most precious, sweet, sweet spirit. Do you think this is a coincidence? I do not. Snyder family, you have a wonderful sweet spirit and I thank you for the opportunity to share a piece of that with the Chumani family.
In closing, the headteacher, Griffin instructed us to pass on their love to Snyder. He said that we are a blessing to his school.
Oh, how humbling. They were blessing me…

Rita, your words expressing how your experience is impacting is profound. Here in the USA we have so much we take for granted. Your writing is thought provoking that captures my heart. Your team is in my prayers. And I await your return home to hear more stories.
